Calling All Pennsylvania Businesses: Consider PA’s NAP Tax Credit Program!
At HEARTH, we believe that every mother deserves the chance to rebuild her life—and that every child deserves a safe place to grow and thrive. That’s why I’m so proud to share that HEARTH is participating for the second year in Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)—an incredible opportunity for local businesses to support our families while receiving generous tax benefits.
Last year, our NAP project focused on removing a major barrier for our moms: transportation. This year, we’re tackling another critical challenge: childcare.
Through our Childcare Assistance Program, HEARTH is expanding the level of care and support we offer our families. Every mom in our program is a single mother —she is the sole provider, the primary caregiver, and the foundation of her family. Without reliable childcare, essential steps like finding a job, attending training, or even making it to a doctor’s appointment become nearly impossible.
We’ve recently expanded our childcare services in partnership with ABK Learning and Development Center, and we now offer:
- Before and After-School Care
- Full-Day Childcare
- Summer Programming
Childcare is available Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Families utilize ELRC (Early Learning Resource Center) funding, and HEARTH subsidizes the difference—so no mom has to choose between childcare and groceries.
Here’s where you come in: Because HEARTH qualifies for NAP’s Special Program Priority, Pennsylvania businesses that donate can receive up to 90% in state tax credits. Whether your gift is $1,000, $10,000, or $100,000, you could see a return of $900, $9,000, or even $90,000. It’s a powerful way to make a lasting impact—while maximizing the impact of your tax dollars.
Any business that pays Pennsylvania state taxes can participate. Your support goes directly toward stabilizing families, while the state helps return nearly your entire investment.
We hope you’ll consider joining us. Please reach out to me directly at cpietryga@hearthpgh.org if you have any questions or would like to discuss further.
With gratitude,
