We will never be able to move forward if we choose to leave families behind
HEARTH has a variety of on-site volunteer opportunities for all ages and skillsets.
Volunteer ideas include but are not limited to:
- Childcare sessions
 Run fun and engaging sessions for young people to give moms time to focus on themselves. Group activity, in-person suitable for 5-10 volunteers. 1-2 hours three Mondays of the month 5:45 PM – 7:30 PM.
- Food Pantry or in-kind donation drive
 Collect items for our food pantry, put together craft kits, meals in a jar, or collect items for our store of everyday essentials, there are lots of options. Group activity, off-site, for groups of 5 + 2 hours. Get started by viewing our Needs List.
- Signature Event support
 Volunteer at one of our upcoming events. Learn more about our signature fundraisers.
- Seasonal Decorating
 Decorate our main hall and porch around seasonal themes – winter, Valentines, Spring, Easter, Fall, and the Holidays. Group or individual activities. 1+ hours
- Run a sports session – seasonal
 Soccer, basketball, juggling? If your people have the skills, come and share them with our young people. Individuals or groups of up to 5 volunteers. 1-2 hours.
- Tutoring in-person or virtual
 Working to support our participants learning in key subjects’ math, science, and English. Individuals. 1-2 hours a week.
- Housing Support
 Work alongside our program team to help families transition from our program to securing housing and thriving. Individuals or small groups. 1 + hours a week depending on the family’s needs.
- Ground maintenance
 Weeding, litter picking, pruning, etc. Group activity, on-site, suitable for 5 – 15 volunteers. 3-5 hours.

In our ever evolving world, HEARTH now offers virtual volunteer opportunities. These include but are not limited to:
- Virtual tutoring for families
- Virtual Budgeting with families
- Virtual craft or cooking class
- Virtual fitness/wellness class
