November is Homelessness Awareness Month!
We believe in housing first. A new home means a new start, beginning a life with safety, security, and stability as a foundation.
HEARTH addresses substantial housing insecurities by providing access to essential resources, including a food pantry, clothing pantry, health services, transportation, and weekly case management sessions. What grows from there is a restoration of dignity and intergenerational change. We need your help to spread the word about our program and how we are impacting homeless families in Allegheny County. Share this email newsletter with a friend or on your social media pages.
Every Superhero Needs a Sidekick
Meet Melissa, mother of two and current program participant. We’re excited to share her story of perseverance and triumph with you. Be on the lookout for a special delivery in your mailbox or email inbox to witness how your giving has impacted Melissa and her family.
“HEARTH has provided a safe and secure place for my kids and me to heal. To me, this program is the greatest gift you can give to a person. It’s a chance for a new life.” -Melissa, Mother of Two and HEARTH Program Participant
There’s a superhero in all of us. Individuals like you have come to HEARTH’s rescue and saved the day for those we serve. We call on you again this holiday season. With your help, we can eradicate homelessness and bring up a new generation of healthy, educated, and inspired superheroes.

Thank you to all who attended the Ending The Unhoused Stigma Panel Discussion, hosted by our Young Professionals Board.
The stigmas associated with unhoused individuals remain prevalent and lead to significant inequities in our communities.
Earlier this month, local housing experts and advocates came together to dive into what each one of us can do to end the unhoused stigma.
