PPG’s COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® partners with organizations that may benefit from a fresh coat of paint and color at their facilities. A couple of years ago, Malesia Dunn, Executive Director, PPG Foundation and Corporate Global Social Responsibility, reached out to HEARTH CEO Marisa Williams to inquire about HEARTH’s needs. Following a site visit and review of their painting needs, PPG began planning and implementing their first Colorful Communities project at HEARTH.
In October 2021, 25 employee volunteers from PPG’s Procurement team spent two days painting hallways and common areas. Before the volunteer efforts, HEARTH worked with PPG color specialists to select colors that would create a more home-like and modern environment.
PPG will return to HEARTH this spring to paint a long-term resident apartment.
