Many of us made it through 2020, yet we must acknowledge family members and friends who did not survive. We have to reflect on what pushed us? What got us through? Some will say the faith we have in a higher power. Some will say the love of family. Some will say the kindness of strangers. Some will say, we have no idea how we got through, but we are here and searching for that “thing” that will help us to get through 2021.At HEARTH this year, we will be focusing on building resilience to empower our moms to cultivate an attitude of survivorship. We want our families to do more than survive we want them to thrive! Our staff will be taking time to reflect and focus on how to activate positivity, while being a resource to others. We hope you will join us as we lean into 2021 with hope and optimism. You can join us in the following ways:
- Volunteer with HEARTH – we have opportunities for on-call volunteers who will assist us in various capacities, Garden Buddies to help plan and maintain HEARTH’s community garden, and room to join our Young Professionals Board. You can email Harriet Riley to sign-up and get more information. hriley@hearth-bp.org
- Upcoming Experiences – Hops for HEARTH will happen virtually on Friday, March 26, 2021. Tickets go on sale this coming Monday, January 25, 2021. Hops for HEARTH.
- Become a Safe Place Partner – Becoming a monthly donor to HEARTH makes a larger impact over time. $10 a month is $120 each year. By making a monthly gift you are ensuring our moms have the tools and building blocks needed to rebuild a safe and stable future for themselves and their children.
Stay Safe and optimistic friends,
